2008-2009 Season

Matt Waack:  Matt is our current coaching director and has coached many levels in our club and in the Shawnee volleyball club.  Matt is the current volunteer assistant at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.  Matt will be working with all of the coaches to improved their skill levels during the year. 

10's Antonella Suzuki:  The '08-'09 season will be the 3rd year for Antonella in our program.  She has coached our 14-2 National, 12-1, and this year our 10's.  Having assisted her sister, head coach for Florida International, for many years, Antonella brings outstanding fundamental teachings to our young players.

11's  Doug Douglas:  This will be Doug's 2nd year to coach in our program.  Doug has a degree in Kinesiology and has learned the game from watching his daughter for the past 6 years.  Doug coached our 10 year old team last year and was mentored by Brenda Neisel, former Arkansas Tech University player.  Doug continues to learn the game and will be CAP I certified this year.

11's  Karen Waack:  Karen has been with FSJ for (I hope I get this right) the last 13 years.  She has coached every age group and is the former director of FSJ.  Karen is currently CAP I certified but plans on becoming CAP II certified this year.  This year, Karen will be coaching our 11's.  This is a change for Karen this year but FSJ recognizes Karen's exceptional talent of teaching fundamentals.

12's  Kellye Knight:  This will be Kellye's 2nd year to coach for FSJ.  Kellye is a former player in our club and a current student at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.  Last year, Kellye coached our 12-2 team and did a wonderful job in fundamental development.

13-1  Tiffany Carruth:  This will be Tiffany's 6th year with FSJ.  Tiffany was a player in our club and a former player at Westark Community College.  Tiffany coached our 17's to a thirteenth place finish at the national tournament in 2004.  Tiffany is currently CAP I certified but will be getting her CAP II certification this year.  Tiffany will coaching our younger players again this year to enhance our emphasis on fundamentals.

13-2  Kim Powers:  This will be Kim's first year to coach with FSJ.  Kim is the current head coach at Butterfield Jr. High in Van Buren.  Kim is a former player in the FSJ program and promises to do great things with our club.

13-3  Travis Stephens:  Travis was one of our first participants in our assistant coaches program.  This will be his first year to head coach a team.  Travis has coached many other sports and has developed a passion for the sport of volleyball. 

13-4  Mandy Todd:  This will be Mandy's first year to coach with FSJ.  A current personal fitness trainer and professional fighter, Mandy promises to bring strong skills in the fitness area and wants to succeed as a head coach.  Mandy is a former player in FSJ and at Van Buren High School.

14-National  Tim Golden:  This will be the 2nd year for Tim to coach in our program.  Tim is the current head coach at Greenwood Jr. High and has developed a winning tradition with his program.  Tim's passion for volleyball is evident every time you speak with him.

14-Reg +  Ray Jordan:  This will be Ray's 5th year in our program and has been an assistant as well as a head coach.  Ray has a knack for the strategy of the game and did a great job in the past of teaching the girl's.

14-Reg  Laura Kennedy:  Laura is a former player at Arkansas Tech University and Greenwood High School.  This will be Laura's first year in our program.  Laura is excited to join our program and we are excited to have her.

15-National  Jennifer Golden:  Jennifer is a former college player at Henderson State and is the current head coach at Greenwood High School.  Jennifer has lead her high school team to numerous state championship finals.  Jennifer will gain her CAP I certification this season.

15-Reg +  Veronica Gardner:  This will be Veronica's first year in our program.  Veronica is a former college player.  Upon moving to this area, Veronica became an official on the junior high and high school level.  You can tell that Veronica loves this sport and will do a great job.

15-Reg  16-National  James Collins:  '08-'09 will be James' 10th year with FSJ.  James has coached ages from 14-17 and has had the pleasure of qualifying a team for Nationals in 2004.  James is currently CAP I certified and will be obtaining his CAP II certification this year.

16-Reg +  Cari Hill:  Cari is a former player in our program.  This will be Cari's 5th year to coach and has coached at the national level in prior years.  Cari is currently CAP I certified and will be obtaining her CAP II certification this year.  Cari is also regionally certified as an official in the Delta Region.

16-Reg  Stacee Andrews:  This will be Stacees' first year to be a head coach in our program.  She was an assistant last year to Josh Stark for our 18's.  Stacee is a former player in our program.

17-National  Stephanie Hill:  Stephanie is the current head coach at Van Buren High School and has qualified her team for the state tournament every year she has been coaching.  Stephanie has coached several levels in our club but this will be her first year coaching a national level team.  Stephanie is currently CAP I certified and will obtaining her CAP II certification this year.

18-1  Josh Stark:  This will be Josh's 6th year to coach in our program.  Josh has coached 14's to 18's and has been successful at every age group.  Josh is the current assistant coach at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.  Josh is currently CAP I certified.
