Battle At The Fort 2009

Sanctioned by the Delta Region

Format: Day 1 pool play

              Day 2 Bracket play

Playing sites:  Fort Smith Convention Center

                        Van Buren Clair Bates Arena (week 1 only)

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED.  ALL COOLERS OR OUTSIDE FOOD WILL BE CONFISCATED IF FOUND IN THE PLAYING VENUES.

Admission: $3 for day or $5 for weekend all playing sites

Officiating:  R1 provided.  All teams required to furnish a certified R2, 2 lines judges, libero tracker, certified scorekeeper, and assistant scorekeeper.  Coach is required to stay courtside if players are officiating.

On-line Coaches Meeting will be available as tournament approaches.  It is the responsibility of the coach to verify the on-line coaches meeting.

Awards:  1st and 2nd place awards in all divisions.  Coaches trophy for the 1st place team.  MVP and all-tournament team awards (not finalized).

Participation:  Only registered USAV teams. Special Note: The Delta Region is allowing boys born on or after Sept. 1, 1997 to play in 12 and under age division when competing in Delta Region tournaments.  The teams can be all boys or coed.  Uniform tops and shorts must be the same color as the female athletes.

Seeding of teams:  Based on tournament finishes prior to the Battle at the Fort.

Refunds:  No refunds will be given after early entry deadline. Teams failing to show for the tournament also forfeit entry fee and their region commissioner will be contacted.  Contact tournament director if you have any questions.

Hospitality Room will be provided for all coaches and officials.

Protests will be handled by the lead official and two designated officials chosen by the lead official.

Housing:  CSTT will be our housing provider for the 2009 Battle at the Fort

Weekend 1:  Ages 10-15

                     February 7th and 8th

Entry Fee: $350 if received by January 16th, 2009: $375 if received after January 16th
